Knowing I was in to my music a friend of mine at work recommended Last.fm to me. There's a lengthy description on Wikipedia so I won't try and explain it all except to say that you listen to music, the site logs it and then recommends other bands to you.

You can listen to the stuff it recommends more-or-less like an internet radio station.

They also have groups (like forums) and each of those have a radio station as well. So basically, lots of music to listen to.
